Continue Tessellations

  1. Teams draw their own tessellation examples to be included in the presentation, using Sketchometry or Geometer’s Sketchpad.
  2. Conduct a Digital Gallery Walk by having students view each other’s drawings on computers.
  3. Reflect and discuss. Why are tessellations compelling? What do they reveal about geometric structures?
  4. Prepare an exam for tomorrow. We suggest using this 20-question exam on transformations from Regents Prep. Students can check their answers online. (Also available in hardcopy.)

Tips and Tools

Teams should enter progress on the Project Milestones Checklist.

Have students enter their observations (what they learned, what they need to learn, etc) in their Daily Learning Logs
