- Use objects that correlate with the shapes the students need to know and will use in their arena. (triangles, quadrilaterals, pentagons, hexagons, etc)
- Teach students how to find the area and volume of various shapes. Have students apply concepts of density based on area, volume, and number of persons served by their model of their arena.
- Introduce or review shapes and their properties.
Triangles: right, obtuse, acute, and isosceles
Quadrilaterals: square, rectangle, kite, rhombus, parallelogram, and trapezoid
- If necessary, begin to form the panel for judging the Final Drawings (see Days 26 and 27).
